Welcome To Griff Hamlin Blues Guitar Unleashed Blog,
Dear Griff,
Need some advice about 6 string vs. 4 string. I recently purchased your “Blues Guitat Unleashed” DVD course. I am left handed and have always played a four string guitar with right handed tuning. I call it “playing upside down and backwards”. After going through a few lessons of your course, I think I would like to play with left handed stinging on a 6 string…. am I stupid to try this after so many years ? I would like your best advice…Thanks,
Sonnie
I am reasonabaly new with Griff’s DVDs & info. There are lots of reference to box 2, box3 etc for pentatonic/blues scales?? but where is all this to be found? I have the BGU & BBG DVD’s but they only appear in the appendix. Is there `a lesson or 2 on the box scales somewhere else?
How important are the scales?
Hi Griff,
Love your stuff. I want to get some classic Albert, BB and Freddie King licks under my fingers but there is so much rubbish on the web. Can you suggest a good scource which I can learn frm?
Thanks
Doug
I have purchased from you Acoustic Blues Guitar Unleased for which I have a Wasburn WD10SCE electro acoustic guitar. I play finger style.
I have now purchased from you Essential Blues Chords and Soloing Without Scales.
I have noticed when viewing your DVD’s that you have several electric guitars, so I would assume
that you have a wide experience on the playing of electric guitars.
I do not have an electric guitar, so I would like your advice on which electric guitar to purchase
so that I can follow your soloing DVD.
My choice is Washburn again the Washburn HB32DM Hollow Body Series, which is supposed
to be for blues and rock or the Washburn Idol Pro. Are these guitars good for me as a first timer
on an electric guitar.
Regards.
